Operation Christmas Blessing, OCB, first started in 2009 with one school. Each year we partner with several schools and churches, taking Christmas to 1,500+ each year. Many children, in our district especially, have never received a Christmas present. In fact, when we would ask how their family would celebrate Christmas, their reply was that it is just another day.
Every young person receives an apple and from there depends on funds raised throughout the year. In addition to the apple, we try to hand out rice & beans, school supplies, supplies for the entire school, and whatever items have been donated. We have been blessed to give out blankets, Bibles, hammocks, and clothes. Each year is unique but the message is the same, sharing the Christ of Christmas!
